Our pigs are raised at our farm in Darlington. They are grain fed with no added hormones, steroids or antibiotics. Retail cuts are available at our sale barn in Churchville during regular season business hours. Wholesale portions (half and whole pigs) must be ordered ahead of time. They are sent to the butcher as they reach optimum weight, normally three times a year.

Typically, our pigs are sent to market at about 250 pounds producing about 160-170 pounds of hanging weight.


What's in a half pig?

In a half pig order, you will usually get about 23 pork chops, 2 shoulder pork roasts (great for pulled pork), 1 ham, 8 pounds of fresh bacon, 3 pounds of spare ribs, and about 9 pounds of ground pork and/or sausage (sausage is an additional cost for seasoning).

Pigs are sold in halves at $2.50/lb or as a whole at $2.35/lb. (live weight). To begin your order, send a $100 non-refundable deposit to Brad’s Produce. Upon receipt, we will send the butcher’s cutting instructions. After delivery to the butcher, we will notify you of the total price based on the weight given to us by them. Butchering prices are set by the butcher and are separate from our payment. They usually average $115 for a half and $225 for a whole pig. Once you choose the cuts you want, the pig will be then be cut, packaged, and ready for you to pick up from the butcher in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania.
